Racing Laboratory The Hong Kong Jockey Club(Racing Scientist (Molecular Biology))
Dr Tony Cheung is a Racing Scientist (Molecular Biology) at the Racing Laboratory of the Hong Kong Jockey Club. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 1999 and his Doctor of Philosophy in Cancer Biology in 2006 from the University of Hong Kong in China. After completed six years of postdoctoral training at the Broad Institute and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, he joined as an Assistant Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina in the United States in 2012. He was appointed as a Racing Scientist since 2018. Tony has published 26 peer-reviewed research papers. He studied cancer genomic and transcriptomic changes and co-developed the first genome-scale pooled shRNA screens to study gene function for target discovery. He received the postdoctoral fellowship award from the Croucher Foundation, V Scholar Award from the V Foundation for Cancer Research and Liz Tilberis Early Career Award from the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance. His current research focuses on biomarkers discovery for doping control in horseracing and equine sports by applying multi-omics methods, including transcriptomics, proteomics and steroidomics. The laboratory has described the first use of a label-free proteomics by nano-flow ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-high resolution tandem mass spectrometry using data-independent acquisition method.会议咨询、注册费缴纳以及会议稿件
