Wen-Ping Peng is a professor and Department head at Department of Physics, NDHU. His research interest is on the development of novel mass spectrometric methods for rapid identification of viruses, bacteria, cells. Recently, he has developed the linear ion trap mass spectrometer for detection of mega-dalton MALDI ions. Besides, he also conducts the study of finding biomarkers of clinical bacteria, identifying microorganisms using mass spectrometry techniques, quantifying proteins in biofluids using nanodiamonds. Other research topics, e.g., MALDI sample preparation, high mass polymer analysis, quantification of polyhydroxy butyrate polymer from cells, development of new ionization methods, real-time charge monitoring the electrospray ionization are developing in his laboratory. Research Interests ●Ion trap theory and instrumentation ●Pathogen identification using mass spectrometry techniques ●MALDI sample preparation and multiply charged ion formation mechanism ●Electrospray mass spectral interpretation ●Aerosol, viral and bacterial particle detection and mass analysis ●Nanodiamond materials for biomedical applications ●High mass polymer mass analysis ●Quantitation of polyhydroxy butyrate polymer from single bacterial cells会议咨询、注册费缴纳以及会议稿件
